Kimberlee Hummel, owner of Bareface Artistry and cancer survivor Shannon Poulsen join Good Things Utah to talk about a special procedure Bareface offers for breast cancer survivors after their mastectomy.

This is a wonderful final step following mastectomy to restore the appearance of the areola. The work looks completely natural and 3 dimensional even on flat skin. It can significantly reduce the appearance of scarring and is a tattoo procedure. Kimberlee received training from a master artist from Europe and is the only artist in Utah and one of only a few in the entire US certified to perform this technique.

It takes about 2-3 hours to do the work and is permanent, but a touch up may be required in several years.

It’s $350 for one side, $550 for bilateral and clients are welcome to bring support people during the procedure. Shannon received the procedure and talks about her positive experience.
