Dr. Renn Veater, DMD, board certified pediatric dentist from Kids Town Pediatric Dentistry, joined us to discuss cavity prevention for your child’s teeth as well as flossing sealants.
Dr. Renn explained the two main areas where he typically sees cavities in a child’s mouth. They are in between the teeth and the tops of molars. He shared that sealants are a great way to help prevent those cavities on top and recommended flossing regularly anywhere the teeth touch. He also shared with us how to know if your child needs fluoride treatments.
Kids Town Pediatric Dentistry is offering offering a prevention kit to anyone who goes in and mentions GTU. This includes a spin brush, brushing timer and chart, toothpaste, floss, mouthwash and lip balm.
They are also offering a free consult for sealants. So if you think your child may benefit from having their baby teeth sealed, or if you aren’t sure if you child has had sealants, they can assist you.
