Temma, from Best Friends Animal Society brought a new fur-friend with her today. Gus is a three-year-old Italian Greyhound mix. He has a very spunky energy and is full sized. Gus is timid around new people at first, but eventually warms up.
One tip Temma mentioned when looking to adopt, if you already have other pets at home, is to bring them with you to the shelter. That way, you can get a good idea of how they will act towards each other. The same goes for family members, if you have children, bring them with you so you can ensure the animal clicks with them.
On August 27, from 4:00-7:00pm, Salt Lake County Animal Services is hosting a Pet Palooza for dogs and humans. Learn more about the event here: slco.org/animal-services/unleashed/petapalooza-festival.
Stop by Salt Lake County Animal Services at 511 West, 3900 South to meet and adopt Gus!
