If you haven’t already, now is the time to start on your garden! Reagan stops into Millcreek Gardens to learn more about annuals and perennials from LaRene!

She explained that annuals are plants that you plant every year and perennials are more permanent. The type you choose depends on what kind of garden you are trying to create.

Carnations, artichokes, leafy greens such as red lettuce and kale or more herbs like parsley and lavender are great options for perennials. For annuals, you can start preparing your garden by planting pansies, ranunculus, snap dragons and more!

LaRene also told us to not forget the fertilizer. You want to be planting every 6-8 weeks and use compost, this will give your plants more flower power.

If you’re ready to create your master piece garden, stop in at Millcreek Gardens! They are located on 3500 South 900 East in Salt Lake City and online at millcreekgardens.com.
