Red River Health and Wellness Chiropractic Physician, Dr. Joshua Redd, is speaking out on low thryroid issues and getting to the cause of the issues.

If you have experienced thryroid issues or suffer from low thyroid, Dr. Redd sheds some light on the issue and it may not be what you expect.

The number one cause of having a low thyroid is Hashimotos disease. Dr. Redd explained Hashimotos as your immune system attacking and destroying the thyroid. This disease also causes systemic inflammation and systemic problems.

Although patients are being prescribed hormones to help with their thryroid, it does not target the Hashimotos, which is the main issue. Common issues that have derived from this is depression, weight gain, hair loss, fatigue and so much more.

There are many other things that can cause low thyroid sympotoms but does not necessarily pertain to the thyroid. Dr. Redd aims to get to the root of the problem becuase everyone’s body is different and there can be certain food and lifestyle activites that can cause these flare ups.

If you are experienceing low thyroid or any of the sympotms, stop by for a free consultation. Red River Health and Wellness has locations in South Jordan, Logan and St. George. Visit for more information.
