With all the parties, events, and festivities of the season, it can be hard to maintain your weight and healthy habits. LDS Hospital dietitian Emily Krueger Lybbert, RDN, joined us with a few healthy alternatives and ways to modify your recipes. 

When it comes to side dishes, choose raw vegetables and a low calorie dip. Cooked vegetables, shrimp cocktails, and low fat crackers with cheese are also a better alternative to fried dishes or chips.

Dessert time! Choose low calorie puddings or fruit crumble as opposed to rich desserts like cake or cookies.

Water or low calorie beverages are preferred over alcohol, eggnog, or high calories punch or soda.
