Nadia Razani and Issac with Roseman University joins us to discuss the importance of proper oral care.
Dental pain is the leading cause of school absence for children in the U.S. Each year, tooth pain and other oral health issues account for about 51 million hours of missed school. An estimated 17 million children in the U.S. suffer from untreated dental decay, the most common chronic illness among children.
Untreated dental decay can lead to pain, cavities, and even tooth loss, which can make it difficult for children to speak and swallow properly thus making it hard to focus and learn in school.
The Dental Clinic at Roseman University is offering FREE dental screenings and cleanings for children grades K-12 at the Back to School Brush-Up™ event. The event will be held Friday, August 11 from 9 am to 4 pm at The Dental Clinic at Roseman University. Appointments aren’t necessary. Walk-in patients will be accepted during these hours while supplies last
Children who come to the event will get a free dental screening and teeth cleaning, and will also receive a voucher to return for a FREE comprehensive exam, FREE X-rays, and $50 to put toward future dental care if needed.
The Dental Clinic at Roseman provides high-quality dental care by Doctor of Dental Medicine students. All care is supervised by faculty who are licensed Utah dentists.
