A local non-profit is empowering families and children through “first books.”
Kids On The Move, which provides services for children with disabilities, development delays, autism, and families in need, was the local recipient of ABC-Disney’s Magic of Storytelling book donation.
KOTM hosted the “Magic of Storytelling” event centered around the donation to share resources, teach new skills and distribute age-appropriate books for the home. Through the event, they were able to give out 700 “First Books” to their Early Head Start families!
Kids On The Move will also be holding the Heber Half Run for Autism to benefit their Autism Center. The Heber Half includes a half marathon, a 5k, and a half mile All Abilities run. The run takes place on a downhill slope through the gorgeous Heber Valley mountains. Finish line festivities include bounce houses, food trucks, and the legendary Heber Half blue foam party. The race will be held Saturday, June 29th and participants can visit heberhalf.com to register.
