Ameritech’s online Master of Science in Nursing BSN to MSN program prepares graduates for advanced generalist practice in a variety of roles that include direct clinical care, management, and education. The program is designed with working nurses in mind. Delivered online and asynchronously, the program enables you to do your coursework when it’s most convenient for you – so you can balance your education with the rest of your life.

With an MSN degree, you may become eligible for jobs with more responsibility and potentially higher earnings, including leadership, management, and teaching positions. An MSN enables you to pursue advanced degrees and certifications, including those for the highest paying nursing jobs: nurse practitioner, nurse midwife, nurse anesthetist, clinical nurse specialist, and more. The best thing – the program can be completed in as few as 3 semesters, about 1 year.

Nursing is truly a profession that lends itself to a lifetime of learning. Nursing, as a vocation, is something Dr. Lisa Harper, is proud to share in, to support, and to advance the nurse leaders of tomorrow through the attainment of an excellent education.

Dr. Lisa Harper has been a nurse for 33 years, going back to college at the age of 30. It took her 3.5 years to complete her associate degree in nursing (LPN), then another year to obtain her RN. She now has a BSN and even a hard-earned MSN – which she received right before her 50th birthday. BSN to MSN students work closely with faculty like Dr. Harper to develop an individualized capstone project in leadership, case management, or population health that includes relevant fieldwork experiences, helping graduates gain relevant and meaningful expertise.

At Ameritech, they offer an exceptional education through the experiences of clinical, lab, and simulation. Another vital aspect they facilitate is new nurses’ development of multiple strengths in thought process development as it relates to critical thinking and clinical reasoning.

The BSN to MSN program cohort sizes are small, enabling you to build relationships with the Ameritech faculty and gain the personal attention you need to become a successful nurse leader. Content and competencies relevant to leadership and advanced nursing are woven throughout the program. Courses are provided in an online, asynchronous format, have a direct-care clinical component, and offer virtual simulation.
