The Day of The Dead is a colorful holiday celebrated all across Mexico. It is known for its colorful flowers,scary skulls and frightening costumes. There is, however, a much deeper meaning behind the popular holiday. Salt Lake magazine talks about spirits, traditional food, and how you can prepare a tasty Day of the Dead meal at home.

Jorge Fierro, owner of Frida’s Bistro show off three different recipes you can enjoy. 

  • Tuna Ceviche – tuna, avocado green apples, arugula, salsa poblano
  • Ceviche Escolar – escolar, roasted squash, shrimp vinaigrette, cilantro, red onion, roasted pepitas, red orange concentrate
  • Mexican punch
