When Elaine was killing time from a delay at the airport, she noticed the lady sitting next to her at a restaurant had ordered a shisito pepper dish. Intrigued, she decided to order a batch and shortly after asked the chef how he made them. After that encounter, she has been hooked ever since.
Elaine shared her recipe with our hosts and put them up to the test to see who would get the spiciest one!
2 Tbsp of salt
1/4 cup of low sodium soy sauce
- Heat oil and garlic in the pan
- Add peppers
- Cook for a couple of minutes
- Add soy sauce
- Done in 5 minutes
- Add more salt to taste
