Peanut Butter Sandwich Dog Treats

  • 1 1/4 C. flour (set aside a little extra for cutting dough)
  • 1/2 C. Milk
  • 1/2 C. Peanut butter (creamy)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • Additional peanut butter for sandwiching

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Line parchment paper on a baking pan. In a large bowl (or stand mixer), combine all ingredients and beat until a soft dough forms.

Dust counter with flour. Pat out dough into a large rectangle, about 1 in” in depth. Use a 1 1/2 inch circle shaped cookie cutter and cut dough cut into circles. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes (as they bake, the color will actually lighten instead of darken). Let cookies cool completely.

When ready to feed your dog a treat, place some fresh peanut butter in center and sandwich cookies together. Store the cookies without the peanut butter to last longer. Treats stay fresh up to 2 weeks.
