Today we had 10-year-old Etsi join us for Kids in the Kitchen. If your kids aren’t a fan of sea food, you can definitely count on this recipe becoming a new favorite! 

Fruit Sushi Roll

Ingredients:

  • 2 tortillas 
  • 1 large banana 
  • 5 large strawberries with stems removed
  • 2 tablespoons peanut or almond butter
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 tablespoons strawberry cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons cool whip

Directions:

Banana sushi

  1. Spread peanut butter followed by honey evenly on one tortilla.
  2. Put a peeled banana along the side and roll up.
  3. Cover with plastic wrap tightly and twist ends.
  4. Refrigerate for 30 minutes, unwrap and slice about 1-inch thick to get about 5 pieces.

Strawberry sushi

  1. Spread cream cheese followed by cool whip on a tortilla.
  2. Put strawberries along the side and roll up.
  3. Cover with plastic wrap tightly and twist ends.
  4. Refrigerate for 30 minutes, unwrap and slice about 1-inch thick to get about 5 pieces.
