Richard and Linda Eyre joined us to talk about stewardship parenting and their new book The Happiness Paradox.

Richard and Linda’s book focuses on how unhappy an ownership attitude can make us, and how we can be much happier with a stewardship attitude. The same principle can be applied to parenting. Richard and Linda explained that we don’t own our children, but rather have stewardship over them. As parents, the role is to help children grow into all they can be.

A stewardship attitude results in respecting children as individuals and allows parents to have joy in the obligation and privilege of raising them.
