Author and professional speaker Dan Clark, spoke out on dating safety. He was a professor at the University of Utah who taught student Lauren McCluskey, who tragically was murdered at the university by a man she had briefly dated.
Clark talked about how he knew the young girl, who was in his public speaking class and what we could learn from this tragedy.
“She probably gave ten speeches during the course of our semester, so I feel like I knew her heart and soul,” said Clark.
The big question is “how can we prevent situations like this?” From this particular situation, the police and university had failed the young girl when she had reached out for help but was dismissed.
We have an innate sense of when something is not quite right. Clark explains that we do not want to become desensitized to people and our surroundings. You do need to be on alert in order to keep yourself safe.
Clark has written multiple books that can offer a variety of advice for you and your children to stay on top and aware of life’s situations. Visit danclark.com
