Resident parenting experts and authors, Richard and Linda Eyre sat down with Nicea to continue going over their new book, The Happiness Paradox. In it, they teach families to replace control, ownership, and independence with serendipity, stewardship and “synergicity”, a word the Eyres came up with to describe the combination of synergy and synchronicity being in action together.

Today, they discussed how parents seeking independence can bring them unhappiness. Parents don’t have to do it all themselves, say the Eyres.

Interdependence or synergicity as parents, teachers and schools is a better option to raising kids.
