How to tame holiday stress

GTU Featured Guest

From shopping and wrapping to planning and hosting… the holidays can bring a lot of stress! However, there are some things you can do to tame that stress and enjoy!

Motivational speaker Ganel-Lyn Condie says if you shift your intentions to focus on your values. Connection, balance, magic, peace, joy, family bonding and memories are several values you could choose from, but use them as a compass, not a destination. Ganel-Lyn suggests using two values to guide what you will say yes and no to.

Keep in mind a yes and no balance. When you say yes to one thing, you should say no to something else and vice versa.

If you are hosting guests at your house, don’t forget about self-care! If gifts are stressing you out, consider gifting experiences over materialistic items. The memories last long after the wrapping is in the trash.
