Christopher Krause just returned from the 2019 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas and joined us to share a list of his favorite gadgets.

Mute+ from startup Smarte is a privacy device for smart speakers such as the Amazon Echo, Echo Plus, and Echo Dot. It is designed to temporarily block noise near the speakers’ microphones. It is portable, battery operated and has a timer that can be set for up to an hour at a time.

Plegium Smart Pepper Spray is the next generation of self defense technology. It connects via Bluetooth to a user’s smartphone and will alert their emergency contacts with a text message, Google Maps location, and phone call when fired. The device also features a siren and strobe lights when triggered to help deter an attacker.

iHome Aquio is the combination of a water bottle and Bluetooth speaker. The 16 oz. stainless steel water bottle is double wall insulated and BPA free and detaches from the waterproof and sandproof speaker so you can enjoy music anywhere you go.

The Brinno Duo peephole Camera is the next step up of doorbell cameras! When someone rings the doorbell, the hidden camera captures the interaction and plays the interaction on the screen of the device inside the house. It will also send it to your phone.
