People Helping People is dedicated to reducing the number of children living in poverty by teaching low-income women, primarily single mothers, how to earn a living wage. Their employment program prepares women to find careers and reach self-sufficiency through one-on-one coaching and mentoring. Kathryn Christiansen and Sarah Anderson joined us to share more.
Twice a year People Helping People holds a ‘Single Mothers Seminar and Job Fair’ where 40+ of the top employers in the area and community resources come together. This year it will take place March 28 from 5:00- 8:30 pm at the Doty Education Center at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, 5121 Cottonwood Street, Bldg #6.
This event is free and open to the public, and is not just for single mothers! Anyone over 18 years of age is welcome. No children please. Stop by if you are looking for a job, looking for a better job, or looking to gather information for others.
