Elif Ekin is the creator of the Divorcée Cafe in Salt Lake City, Utah. After going through a difficult divorce about 6 years ago and becoming a Life Coach, Ekin saw a need to help people find support as they try to navigate divorce. She talks about her desire to create a safe place for people to come and receive support from those around them.

The Divorcée Cafe is open each month on the first Wednesday from 9am-6pm and all services including tea, and baklava are available free of charge the entire time. The cafe offers facilitators that come to help the people present such as divorce lawyers, financial advisors, and therapists.

Ekin and her workers believe in treating divorce in a (w)holistic way by treating the whole person, mind, body and spirit and that divorce is not just about signing a decree and being done. There are so many life elements that need to be healed in order to move forward.

Classes are available at the Divorcée Cafe for a small fee of $20 per class during the hours of the cafe. Topics are taught by divorce lawyers, financial analysts, and self care professionals. These classes, aptly named Level-Up University, invites people to step up and level up their life so to speak.

The Divorcée Cafe is located at 850 South Temple, The Clubhouse on the first Wednesday of every month. For more information visit www.DivorcéeCafe.com or call at 801-674-7074.
