Get dressed up and dance like no one is watching! It’s party time! Emily Gillrie, owner of Complete Design and Complete Events, wants to bring back the art of throwing parties. Last weekend she hosted an epic party for the premier of Mama Mia and today, shared four tips on how to make your next event the party of the century!

  1.  Have a broad theme where people can get creative and have fun. Don’t be afraid to branch out!
  2. Give people incentives to get involved, like gift cards for best costume or winner of a trivia game.
  3. Always have a form of entertainment! It can me a silly dance number, song or a magician but you need to have surprise that keeps your event exciting.
  4. Ask your close family members to help you host and make sure you are having the most fun so your guests feel your excitement. You are not there to work your own event, you are there to host it.
