3 ways to embrace your single years

GTU Featured Guest

Whether you’ve never been married or are divorced, being single can be an uncomfortable territory for some which is why motivational speaker Krystal Guerra joined us to teach us how to embrace those single years!

She credits Oprah to this, “the biggest adventure you can take is to live the life of your dreams.”

Krystal suggests to not live worrying about where you’re “supposed to be” based on arbitrary deadlines we make for ourselves. This is especially true when it comes to our relationship status. A relationship status shouldn’t be a benchmark of success or a deterrent of success. You can be single with purpose and intent and learn to take advantage of that time to grow as an individual. Stop the stigma that single equals incomplete.

To those that are single and growing inpatient, take note of the three tips Krystal:

  1. Honor the space you’re in and let go of deadlines
  2. Have fun with the process and learn to date yourself (movies, dinner, traveling)
  3. Commit to progress and growth and don’t put your plans on hold
