Free Swim Program Helps Children With Special Needs

Good Things Utah

Sheila Morrison is our March Do the Right Thing Winner for her work with special needs children for over 10 years.

Here was her nomination,

“Sheila Morrison opened a swim pool in her home 10 years ago and started a free swim program for children with special needs. Over the past years she has helped so many children with special needs learn to swim and not be afraid of the water.

The children light up every time they come and some parents have even said it has helped their child mentally with other aspects of their lives. On top of all this, she always has some type of service project going on, whether it’s making quilts for primary children’s hospital or collecting school supplies and backpacks for the women/children’s shelters. She is a great addition to her community and has helped so many kids and continues to do it daily.”

Thank you Sheila for doing the right thing! Les Schwab wants to thank you with a gift basket. If you want to nominate someone in your community, visit www.Good4Utah.com/gtu
