A new book explores women and their relationship with man’s best friend

Good Things Utah
  • On Good Things Utah this morning – A new photo book celebrates women and their special relationship with dogs. Within the pages of each volume are distinctive and powerful stories alongside poignant photographs that capture the women’s connections to their dogs. “The women who participate receive the same experience as anyone who walks through our studio doors,” explains Kidd. “Understanding what’s important and interviewing them fully prepares me, even before I pick up my camera, to know what it is that matters most to them and capture it.” Kidd has also taken things a step further by donating all of the proceeds to a different local rescue group for each book published.
  • Plus, did you see the Super Flower Blood Moon and Lunar Eclipse this morning? We got a small glimpse of it here in Utah and thank you to viewer Nancy Glavino from Ogden for sending us these super cool pictures!
  • And did you hear the news about Disneyland? California theme parks, including Disneyland and Universal Studios Hollywood, will return to full capacity on June 15. The announcement was made on Friday as a part of Governor Gavin Newsom’s Blueprint for a Safer Economy. The current 15% to 35% capacity limits will lift at the same time that the entire state fully reopens. The parks will also no longer be required to maintain physical-distancing requirements on the sites.
  • And Elizabeth Hurley knows exactly why her bikini photos occasionally grab negative attention. On Friday, the actress opened up to Extra during the Breast Cancer Research Foundation’s Virtual Hot Pink Evening, hosted by Hurley, with a special performance by Sir Elton John, one of Hurley’s best friends and godfather to her 19-year-old model son Damian Hurley. “Well the thing is, I have my own swimwear line,” she explained. “I wouldn’t ordinarily be prancing around in quite so much beachwear, so there is a reason behind prancing around in so many swimsuits.”
  • Finally, speaking of appearance, Kelly Osbourne doesn’t appreciate speculation regarding what she has or hasn’t changed about her body. The 36-year-old reality TV personality took to Instagram on Monday, May 23 to clap back at any haters who have assumed that she recently underwent plastic surgery to achieve her updated look. She shared a video message that was recorded while she had her purple hair up in two buns and was getting makeup done for a project. In the footage, Kelly told her followers, “I just want to bring up a topic that you guys are all talking about because I’m always really honest and really upfront about what I’ve done to my body and who I am. And I’ve not had plastic surgery.”
  • At the end of the show, if you get the munchies late at night Reagan has healthy snacks that you should reach for! We have sweet and savory ideas for you this morning – hope you tune into these Hot Topics and more on GTU.
