Mental illness is real, but there is hope. Darla Day from 90&9, a non-profit that supports the prevention of teen suicide through the performing arts, joined us to talk about their message of hope in their show, 'Fighter.'
This cirque style concept show uses original music, cirque acts, acrobats, dancers, and singers to address what it feels like to have anxiety, depression and suicidal thoughts.
The show is opening August 2nd and runs through the 4th at the Rose Wagner Theater in Salt Lake City. They gave us a sneak peek of one of the dances called 'Underwater.'
If you would like to see this show, visit artsaltlake.org/fighter to purchase tickets.
If you are struggling with suicidal thoughts don't hesitate to reach out for help. The suicide hotline is 1-800-273-8255.
