Wildfire experts hoping for a safe Pioneer Day amid Utah’s drought

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) – Pioneer Day is this weekend, and fire experts want people to be safe when lighting fireworks during Utah’s drought.

Fireworks are legal to light off in certain designated areas from July 22 to 25.

Kait Webb, the statewide prevention and fire communications coordinator for Utah’s Division of Forestry, Fire and State Lands, joined Good Morning Utah to talk about fireworks this Pioneer Day weekend.
