The ’45th Annual Utah Scottish Festival’ kicks off this weekend

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC4 News) – The “45th Annual Utah Scottish Festival and Highland Games” begins Friday.

The Utah Scottish Association hosts the 3 day event at the Utah State Fair Park, 155 North 1000 West, Salt Lake City. The festival lasts all weekend long:

  • Friday, June 7th, 5 – 9 p.m.
  • Saturday June 8th, 9 – 5 p.m.
  • Sunday June 9th, 9 – 5 p.m.

Regular admission $20, seniors 65 and older $15, children 11-years-old and younger are free. Active duty military and members of the Utah Scottish Association get in free with identification.

Activities include a strongman competition, Sheepdog exhibitions, a Whiskey garden and more.

The Utah Scottish Association is a premier cultural association, providing Scottish events for the community since 1975. The nonprofit group’s mission is to celebrate and promote the customs, civilization and achievements of Scottish heritage.
