Utah Jazz starting point guard Ricky Rubio took time out of his busy schedule Tuesday to visit cancer patients at Huntsman Cancer Institute.

It isn’t the first Rubio has made the visit. According to officials at Huntsman Cancer Institute Rubio has visited paitents several times. When he visitied patients recieving chemotherapy at the Infusion Center he handed out tickets to Wednesday’s game against the Phoneix Suns.

As part of his visit Tuesday, the staff at Huntsman’s gave the player a personalized white lab coat during a special ceremony reminescent of the white coat ceremony held for medical students. Dr. Thomas Varghese who gave Rubio the coat, says the players involvement with HCI explemified what the white coat ceremony statnd for.
