Mercy Owusu is a digital journalist for ABC4.com. She graduated with a bachelor of science in news journalism from Brigham Young University-Idaho and a module in Public Relations. She was also one of six students to receive the prestigious Gordon B. Hinckley Communicator award. While at BYU-Idaho she wrote for the school’s newspaper. Mercy’s love for storytelling grew from her favorite childhood activity, listening to her father tell stories and jokes from his childhood. Mercy is passionate about telling stories and loves the opportunity she gets to share the stories that are important to you. Mercy was born and raised in Ghana, West Africa but has lived in multiple states in the U.S. since she moved to the United States as a teenager. When she is not working on a story, she loves to cook, read, and sing (especially with her father).
