Jerad joined ABC 4 News as a general assignment reporter for Good Morning Utah In August, 2019. Although new to Salt Lake City, Jerad is no stranger to mountain valleys, he started his career in Missoula, Montana. Most recently, Jerad was a general assignment reporter for WHO-TV in Des Moines, Iowa.
While in Central Iowa, Jerad covered severe weather, politics and high profile court cases. He was recognized by the Iowa Broadcast News Association for his contributions to the station’s breaking news team coverage on one of the most difficult assignments he has ever worked on. In the late evening hours, he covered the tragic end to a month long search for Mollie Tibbetts, the missing 20 year old University Of Iowa student.
Prior to working in news, Jerad was a technical recruiter in the heart of Silicon Valley. He was born and raised in Northern California and received his Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism. He graduated from San Francisco State University in the fall of 2012.
In his free time Jerad likes to go on hikes, cook and travel to new places.
Jerad is thrilled to call Utah home, If you have any story ideas or must-see places in Utah, send them his way.
