About Dana:

Dana started his broadcasting career in Santa Barbara, California after graduating from UC Santa Barbara. He then moved to to Northern California and worked KCPM in Chico before moving to Fresno where he worked at KMPH. Dana then got hired at KTVX in 2005 and immediately fell in love with the state of Utah. 

Dana has covered every Utah Jazz playoff run since 2005, several Utah, BYU and Utah State bowl games, including Utah’s historic Sugar Bowl win against Alabama. He has also followed the Utes, Cougars and Aggies in the NCAA Tournament, and especially loves covering all the high school sports throughout the state. 

Dana is an Emmy-nominated sports reporter, who was twice named the NSSA (National Sportscasters & Sportswriters) Utah Sportscaster of the Year by his peers. He has also won multiple SPJ (Society of Professional Journalists) awards for sports reporting. But his favorite stories are the ones he gets to interact with the passionate fans here in Utah. If you ever see him at a sporting event, make sure you say hi!

Dana loves to ski and tries to hit the mountains as often as he can. He also loves hiking with his wife, daughter and dog, Otis. He is a diehard fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers and Miami Dolphins. 

Dana earned his bachelor’s degree from UC Santa Barbara, where he played on the lacrosse team. He also was a high school baseball player at Taft High in Woodland Hills, California. He has family all over the country, from New York to California.
