About Cesar:

Cesar is the newest member to join the ABC 4 Utah Pinpoint Weather Team. He is the Weekend Meteorologist/Reporter as of March 2021, following in the footsteps of Chief Meteorologist Alana Brophy and Good Morning Utah Meteorologist Adam Carroll.

Cesar’s love for all things weather and climate led him to become a meteorologist by way of Towson University and currently enrolling to be a graduate student at Mississippi State University.

Cesar started off his career just up I-15 in Pocatello, Idaho at KPVI as the Weekend Meteorologist/MMJ before moving up to Morning Meteorologist. During his time in Pocatello, he was able to cover everything from winter weather, to severe thunderstorms, and the all too infamous wildfires that we experience in the West. Cesar was the lone meteorologist covering the Labor Day wind event that left Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming seeing wind gusts of 70+ mph throughout the day.

Cesar is originally from the DMV area, where he grew up in and around Washington, D.C., and Kensington, MD. He is a first-generation Peruvian-American and excited to be in Salt Lake City.

You’ll probably find Cesar at a Salt Lake Bees game, Real Salt Lake, or out looking for the next trail to explore. If you see him, don’t be a stranger and say hello. You guys could even talk about the weather or any of his favorite sports teams (Dallas Cowboys, Washington Nationals, Washington Capitals, and D.C. United) and everything in between.
