Another hot day along the Wasatch Front as temperatures reached 96 degrees in Salt Lake City. Expect even hotter weather tomorrow and very gusty winds ahead of our next dry cold front that will arrive late tomorrow night and into Wednesday morning. Most of Central and Southern Utah is under a Red Flag Warning through Thursday night at 10pm for very low humidity and high winds combined with dry fuels and hot temperatures and it spells a recipe for extremely high fire danger. Behind the cold front, temperatures will fall fast into the 70's by Thursday for Northern Utah while Southern Utah won't see much in the way of cooler temperatures as the front fizzles by the time it reaches the Central part of the state. Not much in the way of any wet weather is associated with this latest cold front and if anything may spark up some dry lightning storms in the afternoon. By the time we get to the first day of summer on Friday, temperatures will begin to quickly rise back into the 80's then 90's by Sunday with Fire Danger being the main story yet again.
