SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 Sports) - University of Utah sophomore running back Harvey Langi will leave for an LDS mission to Tampa, Florida on July 25th.

Langi will re-join the team for the 2014 season.

A heralded recruit out of Bingham High School, Langi had a disappointing freshman season, rushing for just 70 yards on 13 carries and zero touchdowns. Langi played in 11 games, primarily on special teams.

Langi was expected to be the starting running back in training camp, but eventually lost the job to John White.

White, who set the school record for most rushing yards in a season with 1,519, returns as the starter, while junior college transfer Kelvin York will be the primary backup.
