SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 Sports) - Former University of Utah basketball player Chris Grant survived a playoff for the final spot in the match play portion of the Utah State Amateur, the oldest continuous tournament in the world, going on at the Salt Lake Country Club.

31 golfers join defending champ Jeff Evans after 2 days of medal play. The match play portion starts on Friday.
