Finally the lockout is over and we can play some football.

For those fresh out of college who were picked in the NFL draft this past April, they at least knew they had a team to report to when things returned to normal.  But for players who were not selected, this lockout had to sting a little more.

Well, now the wait is over for everyone.  As of Wednesday night, six Utes, three Cougars and four Aggies were signed by NFL teams as undrafted free agents.  You don't see too many of 'em make a final roster but with a little bit of hard work and some luck, anything can happen.

Here are the guys who've been picked up so far:

Former Utah Utes:
Justin Taplin-Ross, CB, Dallas Cowboys
Shaky Smithson, KR, Green Bay Packers
Matt Asiata, RB, Minnesota Vikings
Zane Taylor, C, New York Jets
Sealer Siliga, DL, San Francisco 49ers
Eddie Wide, RB, St. Louis Rams

Former BYU Cougars:
Vic So’oto, DL, Green Bay Packers
Andrew Rich, S, Arizona Cardinals
Jason Speredon, OL, Arizona Cardinals

Former Utah State Aggies:
Chris Randle, CB, Dallas Cowboys
Diondre Borel, QB (will play WR), Green Bay Packers
Rajric Coleman, CB, Buffalo Bills
Pat Scales, LS, Baltimore Ravens

If you know of any other players with local connections who are not on this list, feel free to send me an email at elotzia@abc4.com.
