SAN ANTONIO (ABC 4 Sports) - The Utah Blaze have finally won a playoff game.

For the first time in franchise history, the Blaze are advancing in the postseason after a low-scoring 35-34 upset win over the top seed in the National Conference, the San Antonio Talons.

Tommy Grady threw for 326 yards and five touchdowns, three to Aaron Lesue and two to Tysson Poots. Both Lesue and Poots had 14 catches for 132 yards.

But this game was won by the Blaze defense. They held Talons quarterback Aaron Garcia in check, and when Joe Mortensen sacked Garcia on 4th and goal with three minutes left, the Blaze proceeded to run out the clock for the victory.

William Mulder came up with the only interception of the game for the Blaze.

Utah was 0-3 all-time in playoff games before tonight. Now, they move on to the National Conference finals, where they will play at either Arizona or San Jose next Saturday at 8:00 p.m.
