PROVO, Utah (ABC-4 Sports) - The roles were reversed last year when BYU played TCU. The Cougars came into Fort Worth ranked 8th in the nation and with high BCS hopes, only to limp back home after a 32-7 crushing defeat.
This Saturday, it's the Horned Frogs that are ranked 8th in the country with BCS dreams, as they battle the 1th-ranked Cougars at LaVell Edwards Stadium. But BYU says they're not out for revenge. Rather, they just want to play well against a highly ranked team.
"We're not going to play like we're going to derail their season, " said linebacker Terrance Hooks. "It's more like we're playing like we want to improve our season."
"I think emotions will play for guys who remember last year." said defensive lineman Brett Denney. You almost feel like that wasn't us, so we want to come out and re-establish who we are."
Running back Harvey Unga was a part of last year's blowout, and he said, "As far as I'm concerned, last year is last year. We're not worried about last year."
Saturday's game is one of the biggest games in the nation. In fact, ESPN, which isn't even televising the game, is doing their weekly pre-game show, "Game Day," from LaVell Edwards Stadium.
