Jean-Gabriel Pageau scored the game-winning goal with 3:34 left to lead the Ottawa Senators past the Boston Bruins, 4-2, in the regular-season finale for both teams. With the win, the Senators secured the seventh seed and the right to face the No. 2 Montreal Canadiens in the quarterfinal round of the Eastern Conference playoffs. Erik Condra, Jared Cowen and Kyle Turris also scored for Ottawa, which finished the season with a 25-17-6 record. Robin Lehner made 34 saves in the win. Rich Peverley and Dennis Seidenberg scored for the Bruins (28-14-6), who dropped to fourth place in the Eastern Conference. Boston will host the fifth- seeded Toronto Maple Leafs in the opening round of the playoffs. Tuukka Rask made 18 saves in the setback. The game was originally scheduled for April 15, but was postponed because of the bombings at the Boston Marathon.
