Panthers' Weiss to miss game

Sunrise, FL (Sports Network) - Florida Panthers center Stephen Weiss will miss Tuesday's contest against Pittsburgh to attend his grandmother's funeral.

Weiss, a Toronto native, has one goal and three assists in 14 games this season.

The Panthers also recalled center Scott Timmins from their American Hockey League affiliate in San Antonio.
