Landover, MD (Sports Network) - Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy suffered a concussion during his club's 31-6 loss to the Washington Redskins on Sunday.

McCoy departed the game late in the fourth quarter after absorbing a hit to the helmet, and Birds head coach Andy Reid confirmed the diagnosis during his postgame press conference.

"We were trying to catch up and win the game," was Reid's response when asked why McCoy was kept in the game so late in a blowout loss.
