Cowboys WR Austin exits with hip injury

Irving, TX (Sports Network) - Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Miles Austin left Thursday's matchup against the Washington Redskins in the first quarter with a right hip injury.

Austin was injured on Dallas' first series of the game after taking a hit from Washington linebacker London Fletcher while trying to make a catch in the back of the end zone.

Austin, who didn't register a catch in the contest, did not return and was ruled out for the game after halftime.

Coming into Thursday's tilt, the seventh-year wideout had compiled 49 catches for 727 yards and four touchdowns.
