The Boston Red Sox avoided salary arbitration with seven players, agreeing to one-year, non-guaranteed contracts with pitchers Afredo Aceves, Andrew Bailey, Daniel Bard, Joel Hanrahan, Andrew Miller, Franklin Morales and outfielder Jacoby Ellsbury on Friday.
