Cubs bring in Scott Feldman

Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - The Chicago Cubs have agreed to terms with pitcher Scott Feldman on a one-year contract.

Financial terms for the former Texas Rangers right-hander were not disclosed.

Feldman had spent his entire career with the Rangers, who selected him in the 30th round of the 2003 draft. He has a career record of 39-44 with a 4.81 ERA in 204 games, including 101 starts, since making his big league debut in 2005.

The 29-year-old Hawaii native was 6-11 with a 5.09 ERA in 29 games, including 21 starts, last year. He had his best season in 2009, posting a mark of 17-8 with a 4.08 ERA.
