Recap: Boston vs. Minnesota
Fort Myers, FL (Sports Network) - Felix Doubront threw five shutout innings as the Boston Red Sox closed out their Grapefruit League schedule with a 4-2 victory over the Minnesota Twins.
Doubront scattered six hits and struck out six while walking just one in his final spring outing. Shane Victorino contributed a two-run single to the win, while Daniel Nava finished 2-for-3 with an RBI.
The Red Sox will open the regular season Monday with a visit to the rival New York Yankees.
Trevor Plouffe went 2-for-3 for Minnesota, which hosts Detroit on Monday in its season lid-lifter. Brian Dinkelman and Eduardo Escobar each knocked in a run in the loss.
Twins starter Mike Pelfrey lasted just 3 2/3 innings, permitting four runs on nine hits.
