St. Louis, MO (Sports Network) - The St. Louis Cardinals traded utility infielder Skip Schumaker to the Los Angeles Dodgers in exchange for minor league shortstop Jake Lemmerman.

The deal is pending the outcome of a physical, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

The 32-year-old Schumaker has spent his entire eight-year career in St. Louis and batted .276 with a homer and 28 RBI in 107 games last season.

Lemmerman, 23, hit .233 with seven homers and 46 RBI in 116 games for Double-A Chattanooga last year.
