San Diego, CA (Sports Network) - Phil Mickelson reportedly will not be part of the new ownership of the San Diego Padres.

A group led by longtime San Diego businessman Ron Fowler agreed to purchase the club from John Moores for $800 million in August. It was believed that Mickelson was among the limited partners.

However, the San Diego Union-Tribune has reported that the San Diego native had withdrawn his partnership interest.
