Pirates sign Zagurski to minor league deal

Pittsburgh, PA (Sports Network) - The Pittsburgh Pirates have signed pitcher Mike Zagurski to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.

Zagurski appeared in 45 games for Arizona last season and posted a 5.54 ERA with no record in 37 1/3 innings.

The 29-year-old left-hander also pitched in parts of three seasons for Philadelphia. He has a mark of 1-0 with a 6.13 ERA in 82 games, all out of the bullpen.
