Brewers sign P Gonzalez

Milwaukee, WI (Sports Network) - The Milwaukee Brewers have reportedly signed reliever Mike Gonzalez on Friday.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel is reporting that the team signed the lefty to a one-year, $2.25 million dollar deal.

Gonzalez, 34, played last season with the Washington Nationals and in 47 games he had a 3.03 earned run average in 35 2/3 innings.

A 10-year veteran, he has also pitched for Pittsburgh, Atlanta, Baltimore and Texas. In 434 games, all out of the bullpen, he is 17-21 with a 2.94 ERA and 56 saves.
