Oakland, CA (Sports Network) - The Oakland Athletics acquired pitcher Sandy Rosario from the Boston Red Sox in exchange for a player to be named later or cash considerations on Wednesday.

Rosario made 10 relief appearances over the last three season for the Marlins franchise, pitching to a 15.26 earned run average with no record.

He went 0-3 with a 1.99 ERA and 17 saves through 31 games (two starts) between High-A Jupiter, Double-A Jacksonville and Triple-A New Orleans last season.
